OPHELIA.
an active brief for Andreu World, design a sustainable piece of seating.
Inspired by the painting 'Ophelia' by John Everett Millais, a daybed soaked in tragedy, misconception and madness, made using FSC approved wood, Mycellium leather and recycled upholstery foam.
Ophelia is made to be a statement wherever she ends up, in a domestic or business setting.
LAMP.
An interactive, portable, table lamp with touch sensitive switch and wireless charging.
Inspired by the sunset, this lamp is made from solid acrylic, with LED lights, a brass switch, hard foam casing and a pink jesmonite base.
unfortunately, due to the global pandemic I was unable to create a a final model of the lamp, but I was able to create a working prototype.
FLATWARE.
In western culture, there is little that is as ritualistic as eating. Strict rules are often used as a signifier of class and upbringing; I disagree with these rules. The experience of eating should be universal, unbiased, and communal.
